An Ode of StoneAn Ode of Stone

I lean on the brink of memory
No tears, no pain or sympathy
A precipice of love to which I’ve ascended
Tumbles over rocks…. now it has ended…

And in the cracks of stone inside
Lies and attempts to which I’ve tried
Oh glorious feelings, oh wondrous find
Why to me, this sight is blind?

And even though the rock was solid
Tell me why it feels so morbid
Chipping away in silenced tones
And fading away… now alone

For this, no mountain to endure
As love itself just allures…
Sparkling sapphires… an envious emerald
This… the chasm to which we’ve fell

I sit right here, a photo ever serene
I sit right here, writing all and everything…
A pen to paper, a swan to water
For you were the one and only beautiful daughter

And these words, they become teardrops upon the page
Glistening like angels in an ever passionate rage
And still the words, they flow like golden hair
Ending barely in whispers… so sweet and so fair

I sit right here, a bottle of wine nearly gone
I lay right here, feeling all alone
But yet still letting go becomes ever too hard
As the words cut deep… an ever present shard

And yet these words, they become teardrops upon the page

Blushing petals before this gaze
Send me back to those far-gone days
And whisper still in hushed tones
The start of love for which is grown

A kiss… oh sweet bane of my fears
Close the eyes and bring to tears…
Of joy and love does it bring,
The melody to which Angels will sing
And flutter away on wings feather-light
As those lips part again forthright…

okay so for a start, I'd like to thank everyone for a fantastic first year here on DA (although its more like a year and 2 or 3 months

)

To show my appreciation to everyone out there, I'd like to give out random acts of kindness to anyone who asks, whether they be friends or simply visitors to my page or people who have really helped me out in the past

I would really like to create 3 free artworks for anyone out there if they would simply like to tell me 3 subject
areas/objects for which to create an artwork about (e.g. poetry/story/digital art......or

cookies/roses/freedom....(sorry those 3 just popped into my head

)

For any of my friends out there, I'll be sending you the link to this page and if you would like to participate, please reply with 3 items and I will do my best to create something for you all

Hi Everyone... I don't really know what to put in here but anyway

I'm still going to school (its my last year

) and I'm currently working in a nursing home for the elderly. In the future I want to go to univesity and study archaeology/ paleoanthropology (now thats a big word) and become a Paleantologist.

My interests lay in that of reading and writing but I have been known to do some half decent pictures

I guess you could say I'm kinda shy and easy going (or so I've been told

)
