Perfect Reflection

Oh stranger, oh stranger look yonder and stare
Gaze upon me and say that you compare
For why do you look so distant and shamed
When in humanity we both seem the same

Oh cast it o’er the water’s edge
Waves and ripples become my pledge
And gaze upon both you and me
Those eyes and smile overfilled with glee
For it is not a sight of perfection…
But you are…my only reflection…

The willows bow into the waves
Whispering to you the things they gave
But yet ignorance is to why I don’t hear
What you can see so clearly here

Oh cast it o’er the water’s edge
Waves and ripples become my pledge
And gaze upon both you and me
Those eyes and smile overfilled with glee
For it is not a sight of perfection…
But you are…my only reflection…

And standing before this pane of glass
You seem to be so bold and crass
But this, no melody to endure
For the brave become ever so fewer

Oh cast it off the mirrors lies
Reveal the truth that lays inside
And gaze upon both you and me
For the truth is what I want to see
For it is not a sight of perfection…
But you are…my only reflection…

Cracks and shards splinter through
And pierce the veil that hides you too
And now I see and understand
The sight hidden that was so grand

Oh cast it off the mirrors lies
Reveal the truth that lays inside
And gaze upon both you and me
For the truth is what I want to see
For it is not a sight of perfection…
But you are…my only reflection…

Given up and here I stand
As the glass trickles from my hand
And now I know that I am not my reflection…
But my reflection… is me

…For it is not my reflection…
But I remain… you’re only perfection…
this is just a random poetry piece I've come up with exploring the concept of a persons reflection =D=D=D=D

there isn't much more to really say about it but I'm quite pleased with the way it turned out =)

as always everyone; feel free to comment and or criticize =)
